We have recently launched a crowdfunding project as part of a national campaign to save brass bands. We have been unable to rehearse and perform in any concerts since March. It is still not clear when we will be able to rehearse again in our bandroom, whilst still needing to pay out expenses.

For more details please use the link below to access our project page. Any contribution large or small will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

All rehearsals for the Longridge Band and the Longridge Youth Band are suspended until further notice.

We will post updates on our website about rehearsals and our involvement in future events as soon as we are able to.

May we take this time to wish all of our members, patrons and supporters the best of health during this difficult time.

Thank you for your continued support,

The Longridge Band

The Longridge Band is a brass band based in Lancashire. Longridge is a small town approximately six miles east of Preston. The band is thought to be one of the oldest in the UK, with the first known public performace dating back to 1845.

We hope you enjoy our virtual Longridge Field Day. We are of course very sad the day couldn't go ahead as planned, and we have put this video together to celebrate the success of the event. The video will go live today at 12PM. The music featured is the march The Durham Ox which was composed especially for the band by Darrol Barry. It is also available on our latest CD with the same title. All the parts were recorded at home as we can't play together at this time.

In these unusual times we are really missing all of our friends, patrons and supporters. To celebrate VE Day, we wanted to share our Remembrance/ Street Party concert from 2018. With thanks to BrassPass.tv who expertly recorded the event, and for allowing us to share it with you.
