On Friday 24th May we made our annual visit to the Whit Friday March competitions, held at various villages in the Tameside and Saddleworth areas.
On the night we managed to visit nine villages in the Tameside area. We had a great night, and would like to thank all the organisers who make this event happen.
We are still awaiting the full results, but we did feature in the prizes, including:
Broadoak: 4th out of 32 bands
Carrbrook: 3rd out of 33 bands
Denton: 4th out of 32 bands and best cornet player: Georgina Atkinson
Heyrod: 5th out of 34 bands
Hurst Village: 4th out of 32 bands
