On Sunday 23rd February the band competed in the Championship section at the North West Regionals held at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. The set test piece was Diversions for Brass Band by Derek Bourgeois.
We were proud of our performance with some great contributions from our soloists. We enjoyed our day, but unfortunately the performance didn’t find favour with the adjudicators and we finished in 11th place.
Congratulations to Foden’s, Leyland and the Oldham Lees bands who have all qualified for the National Finals in London, held at the Royal Albert Hall in October.
