On Sunday 30th September we competed at the Bolsover Festival of Brass in the Championship section. Our programme included Brass Machine, Lullabye by Billy Joel, the cornet solo Miss Blue Bonnet played by Holly Clark and our finale piece Balkan Dance.

Unfortunately we had to leave before the results ceremony, to make the long drive back to Longridge but we were very pleased to hear that we had been placed third by adjudicator Roger Webster. We also finished second in the new audience vote, and our soloist Holly won the best soloist prize.
